Health Economics Social Committee Director
Reporting to: Social Affairs Director Committee Head: Yes Team Size: 4-6 members Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per week
Committee Vision

The Health Economics Social Committee focuses on the intersection of pharmaceutical sciences, healthcare financing, and economic policy. This committee explores pharmacoeconomics, health technology assessment (HTA), pricing strategies, market access, and the economic impact of pharmaceutical interventions on global healthcare systems.

Core Objectives
  • Investigate pharmacoeconomic evaluations, including cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit, and cost-utility analyses of medications.
  • Promote understanding of global healthcare financing, reimbursement models, and market access strategies.
  • Analyze market data and policies related to drug pricing, affordability, and resource allocation.
  • Bridge the gap between clinical efficacy and commercial viability in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Develop research projects that evaluate the economic sustainability of healthcare systems.
Directive Responsibilities
1. Committee Leadership & Management
  • Recruit and onboard members with an analytical mindset and interest in healthcare economics, market access, or commercial strategy.
  • Conduct bi-weekly committee meetings with structured discussions on current health economics trends.
  • Provide mentorship for members interested in navigating careers in health economics, outcomes research (HEOR), or pharmaceutical marketing.
2. Scientific & Economic Content Development
  • Establish monthly research topics (e.g., value-based pricing, HTA guidelines, orphan drug economics).
  • Curate peer-reviewed articles and reports from ISPOR, WHO, and leading health economics journals.
  • Coordinate monthly analytical essay or report assignments (500-700 words) focusing on health economics.
  • Review submissions for economic accuracy, logical argumentation, and evidence-based data interpretation.
3. Project Coordination
  • Lead quantitative and qualitative research projects on market access barriers and comparative health systems.
  • Facilitate case studies on pricing strategies and the economic modeling of new therapies.
  • Encourage the use of data analysis methodologies to evaluate healthcare market trends and policy efficiency.
  • Present quarterly project progress reports and economic findings to the Scientific Director.
4. Educational Event Organization
  • Host journal club sessions focused on critically appraising pharmacoeconomic studies.
  • Organize seminars and "Tea Talks" with market access professionals, HEOR specialists, and health economists.
  • Arrange case study competitions centered around pharmaceutical pricing scenarios and reimbursement negotiations.
5. Quality & Research Standards
  • Monitor member participation and enforce deadline compliance via the standard warning system (1st: warning, 2nd: disciplinary board).
  • Ensure rigorous standards for data integrity, avoiding plagiarism, and maintaining ethical AI use in economic modeling and writing.
6. External Collaborations
  • Build partnerships with academic health economics departments, research institutes, and industry market access divisions.
  • Establish connections with international pharmacoeconomic organizations (e.g., ISPOR student networks).
  • Coordinate joint webinars and collaborative research with external health economists and policy experts.
7. Social Responsibility Projects
  • Organize at least one major initiative advocating for medication affordability, patient access programs, or transparent healthcare pricing awareness.
Skills Required
  • Strong interest in health policy, market access, and pharmaceutical business strategy.
  • Basic understanding of economic evaluation models and healthcare financing.
  • Quantitative research skills (familiarity with data analysis tools like Python, SQL, or R for market evaluation is a strong plus).

Executive Committee
Social Media & Design Director
Reporting to: Executive Director / President Team Size: with Design Team Support
Role Vision

To construct, elevate, and protect PharmHive’s digital brand identity globally. This role ensures that all of the community's scientific, social, and organizational activities are communicated through high-quality, engaging, and professional visual concepts across all digital platforms.

Core Objectives
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive brand identity and corporate design standard for PharmHive.
  • Increase digital engagement and international visibility through strategic social media campaigns.
  • Ensure all promotional materials effectively communicate the community's academic and ethical values.
  • Provide design and marketing support to all other scientific and social committees.
Directive Responsibilities
  • Strategic Management: Manage the strategic direction of all community social media platforms and digital channels.
  • Content & Campaign Creation: Create a content calendar, plan social media campaigns, and ensure the timely publication of digital content.
  • Design Execution: Organize the design of all official announcements, flyers, posters, and promotional materials for national and international events.
  • Brand Protection: Oversee the quality of digital content, guaranteeing that all designs strictly comply with corporate standards and protect the corporate identity.
  • Trend Analysis: Develop strategic recommendations to increase interaction by following the latest digital marketing trends and design standards.

Compliance and Regulatory Director

  • Maintain strict compliance with PharmHive’s internal regulations and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide unbiased oversight for organizational discipline and conflict resolution.
  • Safeguard intellectual property and enforce academic honesty across all committees.
Directive Responsibilities
  • Advisory Role: Act as the primary advisor to the Directive Committee on administrative, regulatory, and procedural matters.
  • Audit & Updates: Regularly review, audit, and update community directives, rulebooks, and operating procedures to reflect current standards.
  • Disciplinary Oversight: Oversee disciplinary procedures, ensuring the transparent, unbiased, and fair implementation of warning systems and Disciplinary Board actions.
  • Academic Integrity: Monitor compliance regarding the ethical use of artificial intelligence, anti-plagiarism protocols, and intellectual property rights within the organization.
  • Operational Compliance: Ensure all community operations and scientific publications comply strictly with internal bylaws and external regulations.
