Environmental Persistence of Pharmaceuticals (Pseudo-persistence): A Sustainability Perspective

A focused scientific collaboration between PharmHive and AFÖP combining an academic article, social media post, and joint webinar to explain pharmaceutical pseudo-persistence and its environmental implications.

Project Overview

This project explains the concept of pseudo-persistence — the continuous introduction of pharmaceuticals into the environment despite their low individual persistence — in a clear and accessible way. The collaboration pairs PharmHive's content and coordination with AFÖP's participant outreach and expert speaker identification, resulting in a peer-level scientific article, a summarizing social media carousel, and a joint webinar up to 3 hours.
