What is PharmHive's mission and vision?
Our mission is to help pharmacy students follow current scientific, academic, economic, and social developments in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, healthcare, and biotechnology. We aim to encourage students to conduct research, critically evaluate scientific information, communicate their knowledge effectively, and transform their academic interests into practical projects.

What activities do PharmHive members participate in?
Activities may differ depending on the selected committee and the projects planned during the academic year. Members may participate in:
- Scientific literature reviews
- Academic and medical writing activities
- Article discussions and review sessions
- Scientific content production
- Essays, articles, digital publications, and educational materials
- Workshops and online training sessions
- Interviews with academics, researchers, and healthcare professionals
- Panels, seminars, quizzes and congress-related activities
- Clinical case discussions and research simulations
- Public health and awareness campaigns
- International and interdisciplinary projects
- Team-building, networking, and professional development activities
Scientific committee members may be assigned a research topic and asked to review reliable scientific literature and prepare written scientific content. Members may also contribute ideas for new events and projects. Committee decisions are generally discussed collectively in a transparent and collaborative working environment.
Who is eligible to apply?
Applications are open to students studying pharmacy at the undergraduate or integrated master's level worldwide. Applicants are expected to:
- Be interested in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, healthcare, or the specific field of the committee
- Support PharmHive's mission, vision, and ethical principles
- Be willing to communicate and work in English
- Be open to international and intercultural teamwork
- Demonstrate motivation, responsibility, and professionalism
- Respect deadlines and complete assigned tasks
- Follow the principles of academic honesty and scientific integrity
- Contribute actively to the selected committee throughout the academic year
⚠️ Applications are evaluated by the PharmHive Directive Committee. Completing the application form does not automatically guarantee acceptance.
What level of English is required?
As PharmHive is an international community, English is used as the primary language of communication. Most scientific committees require approximately B2+ English proficiency. The Social Media & Design Committee requires approximately B2-level English proficiency.
Applicants are not expected to speak perfect English. However they should be able to:
- Understand meetings and written instructions
- Communicate with international team members
- Read and evaluate English-language resources
- Complete committee-related tasks in English
- Express their ideas clearly and respectfully
English proficiency may be considered together with the applicant's motivation, experience, and suitability for the selected committee.
What is the expected time commitment?
Active members are generally expected to dedicate approximately 2–3 hours per week. Scientific committee meetings are generally held every two weeks. The workload may vary — some periods may be less intensive, while project deadlines, publications, or events may require additional participation.
Members are expected to:
- Attend relevant committee meetings
- Inform their committee in advance if they cannot attend
- Communicate regularly with their team
- Follow announcements and internal communication channels
- Complete assigned responsibilities within the agreed deadlines
- Participate throughout the academic year
Academic responsibilities and exceptional personal circumstances are taken into consideration. However, applicants should only apply if they believe they can participate consistently and responsibly.

Does PharmHive offer passive membership?
PharmHive may also include passive members, referred to as PharmBees. Passive members do not hold regular active responsibilities within a committee. However, depending on the activity and available opportunities, they may:
- Participate in selected projects
- Attend PharmHive events
- Follow educational and scientific content
- Contribute to activities without holding a permanent committee position
Active committee membership and passive membership are evaluated separately by the Directive Committee.
Is PharmHive affiliated with a university?
No. PharmHive is an independent student community and is not officially affiliated with a specific university. Students from different universities and countries may apply. Membership is not limited to students from a particular institution. As an independent community, PharmHive does not have an official university advisor.
What is expected regarding scientific integrity and AI use?
All members are expected to follow principles of academic honesty, originality, proper referencing, and scientific accuracy. Plagiarism, fabrication of information, misleading scientific claims, and unethical use of sources are not accepted.
The use of artificial intelligence is not completely prohibited. However, AI tools must not replace the members' own research, critical thinking, or original contribution. Any use of AI must remain ethical, transparent, accurate and consistent with PharmHive scientific standards.
Members remain personally responsible for checking the accuracy of their work and following the committee's instructions regarding AI usage.

Focused on clinical research, drug development, and medical affairs. Open to pharmacy and life science students worldwide with an interest in the intersection of medicine and pharmaceutical science.

- Medical/scientific writing skills (essay writing experience preferred)

- Availability to dedicate approximately 2–3 hours per week
Explore reproductive health, hormonal therapies, gender-specific health disparities, and pharmacological research focused on women. All genders welcome to apply.

Integrating pharmaceutical science with sustainability, environmental responsibility, and public health equity. Open to students passionate about green pharmacy from anywhere in the world.
